This past weekend I shared a wonderful weekend with my friends from the Vancouver area. While a few of us have moved away from the area, we still remain in contact and were able to share a memorable weekend together (this is my first with them but they have been doing it for several years). I was blessed to spend time with these ladies and shared a renewed sense of friendship.
We have planned out the next three years of "weekends" together with the highlight being in 2011 when most of us turn forty (YIKES!!). We are going to attempt to go to Macchu Pichu together. Three years is a long ways away, but hopefully it will work out for all of us.
Thanks again ladies for the fabulous weekend!
WE DID IT!! We ran our first 5k. We joined the
St. Patricks Day Dash up in Seattle and had a great time. We were talked into this run a week prior by our friends Dean & Jessie (in picture). We literally have not been running and had to walk (well, I did...Brad could have ran the whole thing) around 3 times. BUT...we finished. It was a great day with a lot of CRAZY people in CRAZY costumes. Brad shook Detlef Shrempf's hand mid way through the run. They estimated around 15,000 participants!! Here are the photos to prove we did it (not that any of you would second guess it, right??!!).
Below is a slideshow of our photos from our recent snowmobiling trip. We enjoyed a great weekend with Dean, Jessie, Rich, Diana, and Mike and Allison. Unfortunately, I didn't get any photos of us snowmobiling (as my camera is too big to carry on the snowmobile) but I think I captured our wonderful weekend! Mike and Allison, it was great to meet you both and congratulations on your engagement! Thanks all for a fun weekend!! We are ready for next year (or this summer)!
Merry Christmas Everyone...
Attached is a slideshow of Christmas this year. We had a great Christmas with both Colette's family in Seattle and Brad's family Christmas day. We were also pleasantly surprised to have snow on Christmas day.
We hope you all had a great Christmas and enjoy the New Year!
WOW...What can you say to a couple that has been together for 65 years. G&G Fagering...you are an inspiration to us all. You have proved your love is unwavering, your guidance limitless, and your foundation strong. I am so proud to be part of the Fagering Family. Congratulations Grandma and Grandpa. I love you both so much!
As most of you know, Brad and I embarked on the fun journey of re-doing our floors in the kitchen, family room, dining room and hallway. We put these in ourselves and they actually turned out pretty good. We had the kitchen countertops done also, but by trained professionals. Below are the before/after photos:
